    Very good

The staff were very welcoming, and despite reviews I had read we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of our room. The hotel appears to have had some refurbishment recently and out room was clean, comfortable and quiet, there was a good range of options for breakfast. It was very convenient for Ramsons, across the road and our reason for our trip to Ramsbottom! Perfect if you are looking for a cheap and value for money room.

    Very good

Quiet and peaceful. Room was comfortable yet basic. Hairdryer plus tea & coffee making available. Shower poor - just a trickle. Lovely breakfast with personal service, as we were the only ones in the dining room! We enjoyed our stay.

The lack of power in the shower.

    Very good

    Central location to town centre

As it was a Saturday night, the bar was very busy with young local people, very drunk & staying until after closing time when the noise moved to outside. The chairs in the bar were very stained & dirty looking. As residents it would have been preferable to have our own area away from the public bar

    Superb

We have stayed at this hotel several times as we have friends in the area. It is in the centre of town, so is very convenient. Our room was very clean. The young man who greeted us when we arrived, was very attentive, in fact I think he made our breakfasts too.

There is a public bar in hotel and the chairs were absolutely filthy dirty, infact it put us off eating in the hotel. There was a group of us staying there. It's a pity there isn't a residents only bar/lounge. Also in our room there were roller blinds up at the window and the cold permeated through them as they were (nice) but old single glazed sash windows, a pair of curtains and a table lamp would of gone a long way to making the room look cosy & welcoming. It wouldn't stop us staying there again. If we had another function to attend in Ramsbottom.

We Were there for a family wedding , which as the perfect place for the reception, nothing was too much for the staff and the night was a great success

Thought the hotel in general was in need of an upgrade. Tables in dining room very tatty.

    Exceptional

The excellent service and facilities, friendly and helpfull staff. 5* luxury at a 4* price.

Intial problems with disabled parking caused mainly by short term building works but very quickly dealt with by the Hotel staff

    Fabulous

Lovely old inn close to Manchester

Radiators were not working and electric heater provided was very noisy

    Good

There was nobody on the reception desk when I arrived, I had to take my bags down the stairs to the pub to find someone to check me in. There is no information in the rooms about the wi-fi access, and again nobody answering the phone in reception, so I returned downstairs but eventually I was given the code by another guest.

Excellent location in centre of Ramsbottom village, with shops, restaurants all nearby.

The room was very small. Only enough room for one person to be stood up getting ready at a time. Likewise bathroom cramped to say the least.

    Exceptional

Very friendly and helpful manager and we had a big room which could easily fit all the beds for us and our 2 young children. Our queen bed was very comfortable and the heating was piping hot which kept us snug and warm in our room. Breakfast was included and was exactly what we needed. The hotel is also very centrally located in the centre of Ramsbottom with the supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, and steam train only a few mins away. Overall we had an excellent stay and will be recommending the hotel to other members of our family when they head up to visit the Manchester area.

Nothing we didn´t like. Would recommed the hotel to anyone.

    Superb

Not there long enough for a proper appraisal. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. I would use the hotel again if in Ramsbottom.
